JOHN H. THOMISEE, JR.
John H. Thomisee, Jr. attended South Texas College of Law where he graduated with honors and was ranked 2nd in his class. Mr. Thomisee has been licensed to practice in Texas since 1989, and he is also licensed to practice before the U. S. District Courts for the Southern, Northern, and Eastern Districts of Texas and the U. S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Houston Bar Association, the Texas Association of Defense Counsel, and the Defense Research Institute. Mr. Thomisee co-authored Cornell's Texas Insurance Law Digest, 2000 edition, and he has published articles on insurance coverage issues. Mr. Thomisee has also authored and presented seminars over the past 17 years to the insurance industry on numerous topics. He was formerly an Adjunct Professor of Law at South Texas College of Law where he developed and taught a course on Insurance Law. Martindale-Hubbell has given Mr. Thomisee an AV rating which is the highest rating which can be acheived concerning legal ability and ethical standards. Mr. Thomisee's experience includes the litigation of personal injury, commercial, employment, insurance coverage and insurance bad faith cases. Mr. Thomisee also has experience handling Texas Tort Claims Act cases, and he has represented municipalities and governmental entities over the years. He has argued appeals before various Texas Courts of Appeals and before the U. S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
DONNA F. THOMISEE
Donna Faith Thomisee is a 1987 graduate of the University of Houston School of Law. While in law school she was a member of The Advocates, where she was frequently a top member on their mock trial and moot court teams. In 1986 and 1987 she was named to the Who's Who Among American Law Students. Mrs. Thomisee has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 1987. She is also licensed to practice before the U. S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas. Over the past 19 years, Mrs. Thomisee's practice has focused primarily on the defense of personal injury claims. She also has experience in the litigation of mold and construction defect claims. In addition to litigation experience, Mrs. Thomisee has vast experience in small estate planning and probate matters.
